F A Q ' S
Q: Can you help with un-filed tax returns?
A: Yes, in fact many people who owe back taxes are in this situation. Since our team of professionals includes CPA’s, we will prepare your taxes as part of our representation.

Q: Can IRS Agents visit my employer?
A: Yes they can. Keep in mind however that TBOR (Taxpayer Bill of Rights) has many provisions designed to protect you. Call our office immediately to review your options.

Q: What are 941 taxes?
A: These are those taxes withheld from employees as well as additional taxes the business owes to pay for Social Security and Medicare.

Q: I’m behind on my payroll taxes, is there help available?
A: Yes, there are programs available that we may be able to get you approved for. However, you need to call us immediately. Here’s why…These type of taxes are considered “Trust Fund Taxes” because in a sense, the government is entrusting you to pay these out. If you don’t pay these taxes, the government considers it theft. Getting behind on any kind of taxes is dangerous, but payroll taxes in general can lead to your business being shut down, to the shareholders being personally liable, and can potentially lead to prison.

Q: When is the best time to get started?
A: If you owe back taxes, you should get started now. The collection process moves quickly. If you are receiving threatening letters, or have a wage garnishment, bank levies or liens, call immediately to resolve your situation.

Q: Who all do you represent?
A: Individuals and small businesses. We evaluate your situation and see if you qualify for assistance.

Q: Will it take a long time to resolve my tax situation?
A: Everyone is different and has various complexities. Some clients can have their entire situations resolved in a matter of days, while others could take a few months, such as when an Offer In Compromise is filed due to IRS time frames. Our CPA’s, Attorneys, Enrolled Agents and Tax Representatives work around the clock for you to provide you immediate tax relief.

Q: I can’t afford what the IRS says I owe them. What options do I have?
A: As an American Citizen, you have many options. Yes, it’s true that the IRS has many weapons, but so do you. Depending on your situation, you may qualify for an Offer in Compromise, a Repayment Plan, Currently Not Collectible Status, and on and on.

Q: The IRS is taking money from my paychecks. What do I do?

A: That means the IRS is garnishing your wages. Fortunately, we specialize in Releasing Wage Garnishments. Obviously, living on lesser wages is going to make things nearly impossible for you. Call us immediately to protect you and your family.

Q: Is there anything I can do about ACS and who are they?

A: ACS stands for Automated Collection Service. They’re the department of the IRS that is responsible for keeping up with those who are in arrears of their taxes. So basically if you haven’t filed taxes or haven’t paid on them, the ACS will come after you. Unfortunately, they have the power to do this. We have helped many people in your same situation that are being harassed by the ACS. Call us now for assistance.

Q: For how long will the IRS come after me?

A: Sadly, they will persist for at least 10 years. However, the IRS is limited by the Statute of Limitations, which gives them approximately 10 years to collect on back taxes. Obviously, that’s a long time to try and wait it out. End the nightmare and contact us to settle your tax debt.

Q: I already have a CPA and an Attorney, why should I use yours?

A: If you have a personal CPA or Attorney at your beck and call that caters to your needs and has years of experience in tax resolution, then using their services may be a good idea. However if you’re like most people, this is not an option for you. At Atlas Tax Solutions, we treat you like a million bucks.

Q: Is there any way I can get out of paying my taxes?
A: No. There are many programs established by the IRS to help you out of your back tax situation. However you must qualify for these programs, follow all the guidelines, properly fill out all the required forms, file appeals on your behalf, know the IRS code, follow the timelines, understand how to navigate through the IRS maze of red tape, prepare any unfilled taxes...and on and on. Point being, there is a lot of work to do, but there are programs to bring you the peace of mind you deserver. That being said, at the end of the day, you’re going to pay something toward your back taxes. Any individual or tax representation firm that tells you that you can avoid paying even one dime to the government, is being dishonest and may get you in a lot of legal trouble.
